Eli Reed visits Obama's school and finds a powwow.
Eyona Nemka, 31, is a native American who moved to Hawaii nine years ago. She told me about a Native American powwow that was happening in Honolulu. She said that it was a rare event and she thought that there would be a lot of Obama supporters there. I didn’t see political signs. They were practicing their religion.
I didn't stay long.

Punahou School is the prep school that Obama attended here. I saw classrooms, the gym where he played on the basketball team, some students playing volleyball.
Drawn in concrete on a walkway on the school grounds, you can see Obama’s name and the name of his friend, King. |
