Eli Reed

Eli Reed began photographing in 1970 and has been a Magnum member since 1988. He has worked in Beirut (1983-87), Haiti, Panama and Hong Kong, among other places. For 20 years he has documented the African-American experience, culminating in “Black in America” (1997). He currently works as Clinical Professor of Photojournalism at the University of Texas in Austin.
