Using an 8-by-10-inch camera, Magnum Photographer Alec Soth creates painting-like pictures that have captured worldwide attention. Join the artist as he discusses his evocative photographic series such as Sleeping by the Mississippi, Niagara and Dog Days, Bogotá. Co-presented with the Photographic Center Northwest. Soth is the recipient of PCNW's PhotoVision Award 2008.
The Creatively Speaking series provides a forum for artists to explain the philosophies underlying their work and for audiences to ask the questions they rarely have a chance to ask.
