A Sleep of Reason
Gilles Peress
He leaves New York in search of answers to calm the profound anxiety he feels. Perhaps it's the combination of the economy and the thieves behind it with the election and its' rancor. Perhaps it's just him.
Superbe Gilles. Ever since I bought Telex Iran I've admired and followed your work and commitment to highly emotive, poignant story telling photography. This is another fine piece that really works on In Motion for me. Felicitations.

I attend school in Buffalo and it struck me how similar the cities appear to be. Very well put together. Conveys a feeling of abandonment. I'm an urban studies major and I've been learning about the rust belt in class. This definitely captures the results of de-industrialization.

Stark, haunting, bleak, raw. These images and sounds are a powerful comment on the mercenary policies that have gutted so many cities in America for decades. Makes you wonder if those behind the wheel have their eyes on the same road we travel not just as Americans, but as Human Beings.
Thanks for keeping it real.
