Last Days of W
Alec Soth
Alec Soth's images are paired with Bushisms, which refers to mispronunciations, unconventional words and phrasings by George W. Bush.
It will take Generations to recover from the Economic losses suffered by the Middleclass and lowerclasses caused by the Village Idiot and his Grand Oil Party.

I enjoyed your essay, both humorous and horrific as the same. Sometimes reality is indeed stranger than fiction.
It always shocks me the nasty things people can say on these blogs, but I appreciate the chance to talk to you directly.

The all time greatest American joke is Gearge Bush. I wonder if in the future our children will look back and be like "What were they thinking?"

You gotta enjoy the humor of this! I recall seeing a day- by-day calendar of Bushism's...they were hilarous, but more to the point - they had more than then needed for 365 days of the year!

Ok,good work as a professional.
Maybe I'm bit of too slow to react to arts, but what's the ultimate point here?
Also I've seen those pro-Bush and anti-Bush, meaningless.
Naively believing in Obama is going to change the world or tops Bush big time doesn't help here at all.
Soon enough, there will be people, artists mocking this new U.S saviour.

Great essay, how such a person could be a political leader responsible for so many deaths?!

Absolutely corking. Great shots and I hadn't heard a few of those incredible lines.

The important point to remember here is that slips of the tongue are not completely slips of the tongue, but has deep underlying levels of truth in them ,here of the character of bush. (sigmund freud).

I think Alec Soth is trying too hard to be Alec Soth.

An obscure work.
Bush's words are patetic, rhyming with the funnyless and boring pictures. Just the way Bush goes...
It is poetic, fullfiledl with dark protest and disturbing. I'm glad W times are gone.

You can see the tide changing, I'm from the desert, but you can see it....
How amazing to witness the move from the inarticulate to the articulate in the changing administrations. How amazing to witness the move from imperial ambition to the rule of law. How amazing to imagine how a democratic public can be so duped by political prowess.
We liked Bush at the beginning because we thought we could have a good-ol-boy conversation with him over a glass of beer. Now we like Obama because of his charisma as a leader.
Ebb and flow. What will the next (political) tide bring in?
Nice flow to the photo essay, by the way. Good work.

What a despicable fool. George W. Bush marks the lowest point in American history.
