Brooklyn Gang
Bruce Davidson
Bob Dylan's new album "Together Through Life" features the photos of Bruce Davidson on the front and Josef Koudelka on the back. Bob Dylan's creative team asked Magnum In Motion to create a video using the images from Bruce Davidson's Brooklyn Gang book to illustrate the track "Beyond Here Lies Nothin'". This is a preview of the video - you can view the entire video at the Bob Dylan store on Amazon.com.

What Bruce has done with his time photographing these youngsters is exceptional. The confidence conveyed through the faces of the time is so qualified by the photographer's seemingly casual approach. It's as if james Dean meets his youth.
The youth of today have similar traits to these 50's kids, attitude and style. Considering that the style has changed, the attitudes have not.
A brilliant engagement between photographer and subject.
